Auspicious Oracle

I’ve been collecting tarot decks and oracle cards for years. I often consult them when I’m stuck in my writing, finding the deck I’m most drawn to, shuffling the cards and randomly picking one for inspiration to boost me out of a plot hole or help me create a character.

One of my favourite decks to turn to for advice about my everyday life is The Enchanted Map by Colette Baron-Reid. The cards usually feature helpful information that resonates with me and that I can apply to my life at the time.

The card I picked when starting this blog was 42 Wide Open, advising me to express my unique voice. I decided to take this message to heart.
